School Days and Special Days
Circle Time
We begin each day together with joyful songs, engaging stories, and interactive games that help build friendships, confidence, and a love for learning.
Chapel
During Chapel, children gather together for a special time of Bible stories, worship songs, and prayer. Each month features a meaningful Bible theme and memory verse that help children grow in faith and learn biblical truths in an age-appropriate and engaging way.
Music & Movement
Children love to move, dance, and play! Through music, movement games, and interactive activities, students build coordination, rhythm, listening skills, and confidence while having fun together.
Snack Time
A morning snack is provided each day as children gather to refuel, practice table manners, and enjoy time with friends. Monthly snack calendars are shared with families and posted outside the office.
Learning Centers
Our classrooms come alive during centers time! Through hands-on play, creativity, exploration, and small group activities, children strengthen fine motor skills, develope problem-solving abilities, and reinforce important early learning concepts.
Classroom Learning
Our teachers create engaging, age-appropriate lessons that encourage curiosity and academic growth. Students practice skills such as writing, cutting, coloring, listening, and following directions using trusted curriculum programs including Frog Street and Zoo-Phonics.
Recess & Play
Outdoor play is a favorite part of the day! Children enjoy climbing, running, exploring, and playing with friends on our large playground. On cooler or rainy days, students stay active indoors with plenty of space for movement and fun in our big room.
Lunch Time
Our older students enjoy lunch together in the big room's cafeteria-style setting, helping prepare them for the elementary school experience. Younger classes enjoy a cozy classroom lunch with their teachers and friends.
Rest Time
After a busy morning of learning and play, children have time to rest, recharge, and relax. Rest time helps support healthy development and gives little minds and bodies a peaceful break during the day.
After-School Care
We offer a convenient, optional after-school program each day from 2:00–3:30 PM for an additional $16 per day. Students enjoy extra time to play with friends out on our playground.
Special Events & Celebrations
At GCS, we love creating joyful memories! Throughout the year, students enjoy exciting themed days, holiday celebrations, special visitors, and family events. Favorites include Color Days, our October Costume Parade, visits from the Grapevine Fire and Grapevine Police Departments, Thanksgiving Feast, Big Red Barn Day, Texas Day, Donuts with Dudes, Muffins with Misses, and so much more!
