SCHOOL DAY

Our school days are 9 am to 2 pm daily.  Here are some of the things your child will  participate in while at school each day.

Circle Time - As we start the day all students join together to sing songs, listen to stories, and enjoy puppet shows.

Chapel – In place of circle time, we focus on Bible songs and Bible stories.

Music & Movement - Each class will develop gross motor skills by playing large movement games and activities.  Students learn songs and move to the music.

Snack - Students are provided with a snack each morning.  We provide snacks with no preservatives or high fructose corn syrup and water.

Centers - Children learn best through play.  During centers time, education concepts will be reviewed and fine motor skills developed through individual and small group play.

Class Time - Teachers will instruct to grow academic skills.  Students will practice following verbal directions in writing, cutting, or coloring.  We use Frog Street toddler, ZooPhonics, Frog Street Threes, and Frog Street Pre-K for our class curriculums.

Recess - It is recommended that preschool aged children get two hours of active play daily.  On warmer weather days, students enjoy playing in our large outdoor playground.  On cold weather days, children run, jump, and play inside in our large big room.

Lunch - Our threes, Pre-K, & TK classes eat lunch in the big room at cafeteria tables.  This helps to prepare our students for elementary school lunch time.  Our toddler and two year old classes eat lunch in the classroom.

Rest Time - Rest time is a time for children to calm down and rest after a morning of learning and activity.  A mat will be provided; you may want to include a blanket or item from home.

After-School - An optional after school program is offered every day from 2:00-3:30pm. The fee for after school care is $12.00 per day.
